How the innovative Dryphon technology works

The innovative hansgrohe Dryphon is a mechanical trap that drains used water from the shower area at high speed. The drainage capacity of up to 60 l/min ensures that nothing builds up and that dirt and hair are flushed efficiently into the sewer. After draining, Dryphon technology closes the opening immediately to remove any open connection to the sewer. This keeps the floor-level shower and the bathroom odor-free. In contrast to a standard odor trap with water, Dryphon uses a high-tech membrane in the RainDrain drain system and won't dry out even during prolonged absences.

Dryphon drainage technology is supplied as standard with RainDrain shower channels and floor drains, and is also available as an option. Existing RainDrain shower drains can be upgraded with a Dryphon upgrade set.
