120 years of digging in and trying things out

Who was Hans Grohe? A founding father who burned for the future. What began with him in 1901 among hills, forests, and streams is still the driving force of the Black Forest innovators today: a passion for water. The decision-makers still ask themselves every day: “What do people want to experience in their bathrooms today and tomorrow?” With this attitude as their foundation, they set trends in the industry with quality products.

From innovator to globally successful think tank: that is the story of Hans Grohe. The first stroke of genius in 1928: the hand shower with a porcelain handle. His invention made the shower bath of the time safer and more comfortable, long before ‘wellness’ was a concept to anyone.
